Configuration and auth problem

Hi,

I've a problem with setting up the LDAP service. I've installed the
SLAPD package on Debian (sarge), the serivce is running. After changing
the slapd.conf and restarting everything seems to be ok, but I cannot
log in as superuser and add or change information in LDAP service.
The command I use is:

s01-esw:/etc/ldap# /usr/bin/ldapadd -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=g-link,dc=de"
-w secret -h localhost
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49)

What's the problem, I cannot find anything wrong. The slapd.conf looks
like this:

>>> snip >>>

#######################################################################

# Features to permit
#allow bind_v2

# Schema and objectClass definitions

<<< snap <<<

Also a tab-stop and/or ' ' or " " around the password will not change
anything at the behaviour.

I'm very nervous, because I have to setup the LDAP service as soon as
possible and I cannot find the error since last friday. Thanks for you
help!!
