LDIF comments for referrals?

This is not worth an ITS, but I note that ldapsearch, with -L, returns

# refldap://ldap.example.com:389/ou=Referrals,o=Esempio,c=IT??base

Is it intended?  Maybe a space between "# ref" and the URI would look
a bit better.  Comments?
