Should be. I tried (on a debian) but it seems to me to have some kind of problems, so I'm still with 2.0 :( (2.2 is too young for my opinion)

Hm, well I've moved to 2.2 for Stanford's directory service, and it has been fine. If you use the same features as you did in 2.1, you'll find 2.2 a lot faster (especially where kerberos binds are involved). I highly recommend looking at 2.2. I spent about 3 months testing 2.2 before moving off to 2.1.

Err, SASL/GSSAPI binds.
