Static linking

Hi,

I just compiled OpenLDAP, version 2.2.14, in a Linux Mandrake 10.0. Everything went fine: compilation, tests and installation. Integration with a 3rd party development is fine too, but just with dynamic linking. Static linking produces a lot of unresolved functions and calls. Any ideas why?
