Incremental Backup - Suggestions

 I am using ldapsearch daily to export all the LDAP content to a LDIF file.
Since the databases are growing, the ldapsearch is taking more and more to
be completed while affecting LDAP access
performance in a severe way.
So, I would like to know if there is any way of making an 'incremental
backup' from the existing database (e.g. backup
only what has been added starting froma a specific date/tim).
