syncrepl entryUUID syncrepl strangeness.

Dear all,

My syncrepl consumers seem to have a base64 encoded entryUUID whereas
the provider does not. Can anyone tell me of this is normal for
syncrepl, or if it is something I should be concerned about (i.e. start
an ITS)?

For the same object in the provider and consumer:

bash-2.05b$ ldapsearch -H ldap://consumer/ -LLL -x -b
"dc=qmul,dc=ac,dc=uk" "(&(objectclass=account)(uid=XXXX))" dn EntryUUID

dn: uid=XXXX,ou=people,ou=unix,dc=qmul,dc=ac,dc=uk
entryUUID:: FHZKViF8ECifUpXxAwTiMQ==

bash-2.05b$ ldapsearch -H ldap://provider/ -LLL -x -b
"dc=qmul,dc=ac,dc=uk" "(&(objectclass=account)(uid=XXXX))" dn EntryUUID

dn: uid=XXXX,ou=people,ou=unix,dc=qmul,dc=ac,dc=uk
entryUUID: 14764a56-217c-1028-9f52-95f10304e231

Kind regards,
Martin.
