You mean in back_ldap built as a dynamic module?  I think Howard answered
the question recently.  It should be libtool that does it for you.

librewrite is already linked to back-ldap in the Makefile (actually, you
shuld rather look at the Makefile.in, since the Makefile is generated by
configure).
