replica backend_startup: bi_db_open(0) failed!

Hi,

My slave starts then ends with this:

slapd startup: initiated.
bdb_db_open: dbenv_open(/var/lib/ldap/plainjoe.org)
bdb(dc=plainjoe,dc=org): Berkeley DB library configured to support only
DB_PRIVATE environments
bdb_db_open: dbenv_open failed: Invalid argument (22)
backend_startup: bi_db_open(0) failed! (22)

openldap 2.1.22 on redhat 9, 2.4.20-8 kernel

The master runs:
openldap 2.1.22 on redhat 9, 2.4.20-30.9 kernel

The backend initialize reports as follows:

bdb_initialize: initialize BDB backend
bdb_initialize: Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 4.1.25: (December 19,
2002)

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated,

Tom
