Problem with password synchronization
I'm having a problem when I try to synchronize two
LDAP Servers. The Master server is an IBM Directory
Server (not because I wanted it to be IBM) and the
replica server is OpenLDAP 2.1.4-39. The whole replica
works fine and all attributes are updated perfectly,
except the password.
The encryption method for both servers is SHA, but
when I update the password attribute in the master
server, the authentication of my application in the
replica server fails. If I set the password manually
in the replica I dont have any trouble
I found on a page where said that I would have to
handle the password synchronization as a different
task. Is it possible to do it with simple LDAP
replication?
