Hi everybody,

i'm tryin' to install the new version 2.2.4 for
testing purposes. I'm installing openldap versions
since 2.0.5 and never had such problems as now ..

Your SASL build is broken; the version of libtool that Cyrus bundles is
unusable. Replace the generated Cyrus libtool script with the one generated
by OpenLDAP's configure and rebuild and re-install libsasl2.

The Cyrus version of libtool doesn't handle library dependencies correctly.
It is supposed to create a .la file that lists all of the other libraries
that a given library depends on. In this case, the libsasl2.la file should
indicate that it depends on libgssapi and libdb. The libtool script that
Cyrus bundles does many other things wrong too, so it's not just a matter of
fixing the .la file by hand. Rebuild.

So , i shall copy libtool *after* the configure-run of SASL ?

greets and thanks

Harry
