  yes I did, i dint change the rootpw directive from the slapd.conf file..

Ok what are the steps I need do before I actually use ldap for the  further entries

And Please let me the possible reasons for this error.

I'm making it clear that the slapd.conf file is not altered except the suffix "c=in" and the rootdn "cn=manager, c=in"
