Client - User Password Change - Fixed

Whew!
After pounding my head into the keyboard, I found the problem.
I ran an strace on "passwd" from the client, and right near the point 
where passwd put up the error message, was a neatly placed little 
"timeout" message.

I extended the timeouts in /etc/ldap.conf from 90 to 360,
and all works well now. I may experiment with lower values, but it's 
working, and I found the source of the problem.
