ldapsearch problem

Hello,

i am running OpenLDAP 2.1.21 on debian unstable, slapd.conf and ldap.conf
are attached.

here's some slapcat output:

[...]
dn: uid=rico,ou=users,dc=heubach-edv,dc=de
uid: rico
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: posixAccount
objectClass: sambaSamAccount
cn: Rico Hauke
sn: Hauke
uidNumber: 1001
gidNumber: 201
homeDirectory: /home/rico
loginShell: /bin/bash
gecos: Rico Hauke
description: Rico Hauke
structuralObjectClass: inetOrgPerson
[...]

when performing the following ldapsearch:

$ ldapsearch -x "(&(objectClass=posixAccount)(uid=rico))" uidNumber

ldapsearch results are:

# extended LDIF
#
# LDAPv3
# base <> with scope sub
# filter: (&(objectClass=posixAccount)(uid=rico))
# requesting: uidNumber
#

# search result
search: 2
result: 0 Success

# numResponses: 1

so why doesn't slapd return uidNumber: 1001 from
dn: uid=rico,ou=users,dc=heubach-edv,dc=de ?
i already searched the logs, but can't find anything.

any hints?

thanks in advance,
Rico
