openldap with eudora, ms-outlook, netscape

Hello everybody,

I'm a newbie to the LDAP world.
For instance, I just wanted to set up a ldap directory in order to have a 
unified address book accross my organization. As there's around a thousand 
account, I wanted to populate rapidly a small directory which will be 
updated by users. They will fill up their own data.
These users will be using Netscape Communicator/Mozilla, MS-Outlook or 
eudora (v3 or above (5.0 & 5.2.1)).

I worked out to set up a working LDAP directory. I populated the database 
using the migrationtools from PADL in combination with ldapbrowser 
(http://www.iit.edu/~gawojar/ldap/). Therefore, I got two organizational 
unit which are People and Aliases.
After doing this, I add an extension.schema 
(http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/OpenLDAP2.0-ExtendedStooges-extension.schema.txt) 
in order to conform to MS-Outlook and Netscape. (I modify the cosine.schema 
and core.schema to conform the specification of this extension.schema)
I included it to my slapd.conf (include /etc/openldap/schema/extension.schema)

Should I have done this before filling up the database ?

In the slapd.conf, I've got the following right access :

access to dn=".*,dc=sante,dc=univ,dc=fr"
        by self write
        by * read

When I'm using ldapbrowser (http://www.iit.edu/~gawojar/ldap/) with these 
settings
Base DN : dc=sante,dc=univ,dc=fr
User : uid=XYZ,ou=People,dc=sante,dc=univ,dc=fr
It works fine and I can see the entries and only modify the XYZ entry but 
with Mozilla, Outlook or Eudora with the same settings it doesn't work. Any 
idea ?

I can only view up to 500 entries (out of 1000) with Mozilla, Eudora, Any 
idea ?

I don't know how to bind Openldap attribute to Eudora directory services 
(any idea about extension.schema needs ?)
