ldapsearch vendor version mismatch error

I've searched the archives, and have not found any reference to the error
I'm getting...
When I try to use ldapsearch, I get the error
"LDAP vendor version mismatch: got 20117, expected 20121"

I've installed the libpam-ldap, libnss-ldap, and ldap-utils Debian
packages from the unstable tree. /etc/ldap/ldap.conf has been set up
to refer to our Windows 2000 Active Directory server. The commands I've
tried executing are:
ldapsearch -x -LLL "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch -v -LLL "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch -x "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch -h 192.168.1.14 "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch -x -h 192.168.1.14 "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn
ldapsearch -x -H ldap://192.168.1.14 "(sn=kartsioukas)" cn sn

Using Ethereal to watch my loopback device and ethernet device, there is
no traffic that shows up when I execute these commands. Am I missing a
config option somewhere?

Contents of /etc/ldap/ldap.conf:

BASE	dc=abbi,dc=com
URI	ldap://192.168.1.14:389

Thanks for your time.
