ldap_is_socket_ready: error on socket 4: errno: 111 (Connection refused)
ldap_close_socket: 4
ldap_perror
ldap_bind: Can't contact LDAP server (81)

May  know what's the reason.

You could start slapd in debug mode. Thet it will not fork into background.

slapd -d <loglevel>

a good loglevel is 256
