openldap and hpux ldap

hello all! has anyone tried to setup an hpux ldapux client to talk with an openldap? I've tried but currently having problems because ./setup of hpux ldap ux is asking for extending schema and I modified the schema according to a hpuxldapux.schema in the openldap and restarted it but still it is asking to extend schema which is not possible since openldap cannot modify schema online. I don't know what else could be the problem. Tried looking for the error in the internet but no such luck. help!!!
