AW: AW: Open LDAP and SNMP
Yes, I know that it is not supported, therfore I posted my first email trying to figure out if community will find such support useful, and if yes - than in which exactly form.
Best regards, vadim tarassov.

I see, you're looking for slapd/slurpd embedded snmp trap support , I
don't think it's alreary supported !?
$ ./configure --help | grep -i snmp

This will make ldap server to become "read-only". I believe it will be cool if ldap server would be able to send snmp trap on such occasion. Although this example is rather meaningless (because net-snmp agent is able to monitor available space in a partition) one can imagine situations where such kind of notification will help to identify problem rather fast. As another less stupid example please consider following: for some odd reason slurpd is not able to update his replica. If you don't look in log files you will hardly notice this early enough.
