outlookclient always returning error 32

Hi,

I have an openldap-server running under Linux.
Its relevant details of slapd.conf are:

database        ldbm
suffix          "o=vanheusden,c=nl"
rootdn          "cn=Manager,o=vanheusden,c=nl"

now, in outlook 2000 I configured the searchbase to:
o=vanheusden
I also tried
o=vanheusden,c=nl
but for every search-query I perform I get error 32.

So I also installed Softerra LDAP browser 2.5 on my windows
workstation. And again: an error: this time I got: error 34,
invalid DN syntax.
And again I tried both
o=vanheusden
and
o=vanheusden,c=nl

Has anyone a suggestion for what I'm doing wrong?
