Default search base

Hello all,

I'm currently upgrading OpenLDAP from 2.0.x to 2.1.12. My slapd.conf line

referral       ldap://ldap.zcu.cz/ou=phonebook,o=zcu,c=cz

is not acceptable yet (referral: URL contains DN)



- What I want: Any search with undefined suffix as base to be answered 
               with such refferal.

- The defaultsearchbase directive works well but only for empty base.
  
- refferal directive acts for any undefined base but cannot be used for
  search base change now, if I'm right.



Which configuration is the proper solution in such case?
