Phil, you will get some weird issues with dots in the attributes.  Why
not change it to:
dn: dc=example,dc=com,c=US
objectclass: top
objectclass: domain
objectclass: domainRelatedObject

And adjust all of your DN's that you're adding appropriately.

While we're at it, what do you think about a BOF regarding LDAP?  I know
Garrick is well mired in LDAP.  We could get Greg over as well.
