newbie: installation under redhat 8.0

hi,

i want to install openldap-stable-20021018.tgz under redhat 8.0.
everytime when i run "./configure" a little bit later got the message that
there is no db installed.
i installed db 4.x and/or gdbm. is there any trick to install it?
