Backup to LDIF ...

Greetings ...

	I hate to ask a question that I have seen pass the list often, but I 
can't seem to get an answer that will make me happy from the mail list 
search ... sorry.

	But, what are the draw backs to using ldapsearch * > backup.ldif as a 
backup?

	If I remember correctly, it only a problem when records are been added, 
but this case, that only happens once a week if that.

	Maybe another view, which I have seen, is when the indexs get corrupt, 
and you might not get all the records, or if you have a problem with the 
size and time limit?
