Re: unable to restore from ldif -- resolved

I've found the reason for the missing object IDs. These recent backups
have been made via "ldapsearch", thus they're in ldapadd format, not ldif.

Folks:

To my shock I find I'm unable to restore via ldif2ldbm from my ldif
backups made with "ldbmcat id2entry.dbb > ldif".

When I look through the ldif file, I find that the objects are there, but,

without their object ID numbers.

Unfortunately this problem goes back a ways in my backups. The first
usable backup is two months old.

So: is there a way the missing object IDs can be reconstructed?

I'm using OpenLDAP 1.2 on RedHat Linux, I think version 6.2.

Many thanks for your help.
