ldap.conf
build: openldap2.0.22
i have an ldap.domain.com entry in my DNS.
and my ldap.conf looks like:
BASE dc=domain, dc=com
URI ldap://ldap.domain.com
SIZELIMIT 12
TIMELIMIT 15
#DEREF never
upon reading the admin guide, i started slapd with
#slapd -h ldap://ldap.domain.com
is this the way to do it? or have i misunderstood the admin guide?
i did a man on ldap.conf but couldn't understand what deref is for.
please advise.
