Beyond descriptor table size
Kit: Solaris 7, OpenLDAP 2.0.18
In an effort to workaround the "too many open files" problem, we have
set the file descriptor limit to 2048 and started slapd having executed
a ulimit command. Unfortunately after a while and under heavy load the
LDAP server (replica) complains thus
daemon: 1024 beyond descriptor table size 1024
leading to not just to request failures but no fail-over. It appears
that OpenLDAP is unaware of the new descriptor size.
Anyone seen this sort of thing? Any solutions?
