You don't... SASL is 'only' a authentication mechanism..

Same there.



SASL is used in(side) the LDAP client to authenticate the user. If
the 'ldap(search,modify,delete)' commands is compiled with SASL,
you don't have to do anything to use SASL, this is automatic/default.

If on the other hand you have them compiled with SASL and you DON'T
want to use SASL, you have to supply the '-x' option to disable
SASL...
