My company has a white pages directory (currently 8,000 entries, growing to
40,000 in the near future) which is implemented on Isocor GDS. It works
fine, but is very expensive. I am to investigate cheaper alternatives.
OpenLDAP is a possible solution. However, open source software is not common
in our company. I need to convince the management that OpenLDAP might be a
good solution to our problem. So I'm looking for:
- success stories of OpenLDAP implementations
- names of large companies that run OpenLDAP
- analyst reports about OpenLDAP, comparisons with commercial products
- anything that can convince our management that OpenLDAP is worth further
I have searched the Internet, but could not find much so far.
Thanks in advance,
