back-monitor is not usable yet; it gives only partial features compared
to old-style monitoring and is untested.  You may try a patch that's 
available from ITS 734 (http://www.desy.de/~kuenne/monitordn.patch).
It used to apply against 2.0.1, but I haven't tested it later,
and at some point I wasn't able to apply it to HEAD any more.
