Sure. Have a look at http://www.openldap.org/faq/data/cache/447.html

It refers to the name of the attribute that contains the (dn valued)
name for group membership checks. A good example of its use is given
in http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin/slapdconfig.html#Access%20Control
at the end of the examples section.
