which encryption method ?

hello dear list,

which encryption method is used when using ldappasswd ? (openldap-2.0.8)
Can't find any details about that in man ldappasswd.
In 1.2.11 it was possible to use the -H switch to determine encryption
method. In 2.0.x this switch is missing.
Any ideas ?
