I'm working on a large project involving OpenLDAP(2.0.11), and I have a
few questions about the objectclass "alias".
We're interested in making a "flat" person tree, with alias objects in the
organization tree pointing into the person tree.
Is the implementation of the objectclass "alias" stable? Are there any
known bugs using "alias", when set up correctly? Such as crashing slapd.
How will this affect load on a server when populating the LDAP server with
up to a few million objects? (Approximately. 50000 people, 3-4 times as
many aliases.) Is this a problem?
"And now for something completely different."
