Netscape Communicator 4.76 Addressbook & LDAPS

Folks,

Can anyone confirm/deny that the "Secure" checkbox when configuring
a new directory server in Communicator's addressbook will work with
OpenLDAP? I have searched the archives and google.com, but the only
responses I see pertain to Netscape's roaming access (which is not
supported over LDAPS or HTTPS).

I have configured 2.0.7 (2.0.11 won't build on as a threaded app
on SuSE 7.1) from source. StartTLS works fine. Any pointers
on how to troubleshoot this one? I have looked at traces between
slapd and the netscape client. The certificate is being passed back
to the client, but I get the wonderful "Unknown error - 0XFFFFFF..."

Thanks in advance.

cheers, jerry
