I have a rather strange problem with my LDAP servers: they delete the index files on system cold boot but do not delete them if I stop and restart the servers by hand. I'm running 2.0.10 under FreeBSD 4.3 and my back end is ldbm (db 3.2.9). Anyone seen this or have a clue as to why OpenLDAP deletes its indexes?
