I experienced a similar behavior on Linux RedHat 6.2, that is slapd 2.0.7
crashing without error messages exactly after a certain number of results
during a single search (kinda 3792 or so) with a "(uid=*)" filter.
Such behavior was perfectly repeatable, but I couldn't trace it because with

logs on it didn't show up again. So I didn't report it because I had no clue

of the reason. It disappeared when I rebuilt the db with slapadd, so I guess

it was related to some db corruption (Sleepycat 3.1.X).

Sorry. In case it happens again, I'll keep the corrupted db files and try
some
(nightmare) debug.
