problem with sasl library

I am trying to install openLDAP. I have also installed opelSSL, kerberos and SASL. WHen I run a "make test" it gives error stating "error in loading shared libraries:libsasl.so.7 cannot load shared libraries" ALthough I provided the env parameter with the configure.
