can you send me your file, to make sure there are no special 
characters in there?

on the other hand, I´m not sure if everything is ok with my database...
I´m using these BerkeleyDB/
how can I check if I have all files on proper place?
do I have to add any new database at first?

all I have found is:
in /opt/local/var/openldap-ldbm
there is a file called dn2id.dbb
here the content:
^E1b^F^P^B^R\331^E^LT^A^M]\211:^A^P^A^E

is this ok?
