openldap 2.0.7 on BSDi 4.0.1

I do a "./configure --disable-ipv6". No problem.
I do a "make depend". No problem.
I do a "make". No problem.
I do a "make test". Hangs there on the first test forever.

I have pthreads and BerkeleyDB.

Any suggestions.
