Can ldapadd be made to ignore entries that already exist and not exit ?

I'm trying to incrementally build up an object hierarchy by adding my first object to an LDIFfile, ldapadd, add second object to end of LDIF file, ldapadd, add third object to end of LDIF file, ldapadd, etc....

Problem is ldapadd considers a duplicate entry an error and stops. Is there any way to tell ldapadd to just ignore the duplicate and continue (Netscape supports this) ?

Cheers,
