replication with slurpd

hi,
i've got problems with the replication of two databases with one slapd.
here's the slapd.conf i tried to go with:

...
nothing
of
interest
...
some
access
rulez
...

database        ldbm
replica         host=172.18.2.19:389
                "binddn=uid=replicator,ou=Mail-Users,o=that's me,c=at"
                bindmethod=simple
replogfile      /usr/local/openldap/data/replication/mail.data
suffix          "ou=Mail-Users,o=that's me,c=AT"
directory       /usr/local/openldap/data/mail
index           uid eq
index           mail eq
index           mailAlternateAddress eq
index           default none

database        ldbm
replica         host=172.18.2.19:389
                "binddn=uid=replicator,ou=Mail-Domains,o=that's me,c=at"

                bindmethod=simple
replogfile      /usr/local/openldap/data/replication/domain.data
suffix          "ou=Mail-Domains,o=that's me,c=AT"
directory       /usr/local/openldap/data/domains
index           domain eq
index           default none

is this the wrong way? AFAICS slurpd is binding to the slave with
uid=replicator,ou=mail-domains... and the updates for ou=mail-users are
done, slurpd doesn't care about the domain.data replog file. (it's
growing, and slurpd isn't looking at it. there are also no 'not
mine'-statements in the debug log of slurpd) that's a bit confusing, i
know, but that's the way it acts.
btw: where is slurpd writing it's PID? is there a standard .pid file? i
can't find it. may i add a pidfile-line to slapd.conf, like slapd uses?
thanx for reading and regards
daniel
