OpenLdap and security

Hello all,

I do not know a lot about security... in fact nothing !!!!

Does OpenLdap support SSL ?

I hear the mod_LDAPauth module for Apache
enables LDAP authentification  but only
for Apache Server !!!!

Is someone know how to find a LDAP/SSL module
for all servers to secure my OpenLDAP ?

Do I have to use PAM module rather than SSL module ????
