I also wonder how this ties into LDAP: does the browser query one? all? 
some? of the LDAP directories that exist? that it knows about? that it 
finds with an nmap scan? for an exact? partial? match of one? some? all? 
attributes? :-)

Besides, if I enter [something that looks like] an email address, I'd 
rather have my browser treat it like a mailto: URI than an ldap: URI.

Oops, I guess he can't patent that mailto idea now.

post every idea they think of, to help prevent such silly nonsense
from passing any "prior art" tests, at least until legislatures realize
that software patents should not be granted...
