Have you done any testing on your own? If so, by how much does it increase
performance?
Is openldap a reasonable solution for 5,000 mail and radius users?

Appropos:
Joel did not tune his cachesizes for prior to running the openldap
tests, so these numbers reflect the default performance for
openldap (which isn't very good if you have more than a
few thousand complex entries.)
Increasing cachesize and dbcachesize will improve your results
beyond the NW test results.
