where to start?

Hi.
I want to learn nuts & bolts of ldap.I have read
openldap admin guide but It is not very informative
about ldap.I have decided to read rfc (I think best
place to start) but from which rfc do I have to
start.And other rfcs to read?.
Can you write down them by order.
I mean as a start read rfcxxx then read rfcxxx....
is the thing that I am looking for.
