Directory root

Hi,

I have two questions, since I'm fairly new to LDAP in general. 

1. Is there any advantage to using dc=domain,dc=com as your root
compared to o=Org,c=US ?
I like the latter better for readability.

2. Can anyone recomend a MTA and/or a mail server (POP,IMAP) which will
use a LDAP directory for account information.  I am not looking to
simply route mail, but for it to end up in a system mail file.  This is
a FreeBSD system and NSS is not available.
