I haven't read the smallprint, but isn't IETF RFC 2713 what you're
seeking?  It may be possible to add the necessary object class/attribute
definitions (assuming there's nothing too LDAPv3-specific which won't work in
OpenLDAP 1.x) to OpenLDAP...
