Is there something special I > need to do to the database in order for it to be usable with outlook? you need to set the search base in the advanced settings for the directory under accounts. now a question: i managed to get netscape to send (and i think) fetch a certificate to (and from) my directory. granted, i had to make the directory default to write access, but it's a start. i then went to play with outlook. while i can get outlook to find the directory entry, and therefore the email address, it ignored the certificate. in addition, there doesn't appear to be any mechanism for sending (or retrieving) a certificate to a directory under outlook. has anyone found a way to make this work? this is partly what i was hoping to gain from LDAP, a means to simplify certificate dissemination. there's mention of a outlook/openldap howto in the archives on the openldap site. was it even completed? thanks in advance. --mk
