OpenLDAP, Sendmail, and virtuser

Two questions and or problems:
1) Been trying to compile sendmail with OpenLDAP 
support and it keeps telling me during the link of 
undefined reference and I am not sure what to include.  
Could someone give me a hint.

map.o(.text+0xf6c): undefined reference to `ldap_bind_s'
map.o: In function `ldap_map_stop':
map.o(.text+0xfd5): undefined reference to `ldap_unbind'
map.o: In function `ldap_map_lookup':
map.o(.text+0x11f6): undefined reference to 
`ldap_search_st'
map.o(.text+0x125a): undefined reference to 
`ldap_search_st'
map.o(.text+0x12bf): undefined reference to 
`ldap_first_entry'
map.o(.text+0x12dc): undefined reference to 
`ldap_get_values'
map.o(.text+0x13a5): undefined reference to 
`ldap_value_free'
map.o(.text+0x13c0): undefined reference to 
`ldap_msgfree'

2) I am assuming that by compiling in suppport for LDAP 
that I will be able to use the LDAP server for a 
virtuser replacement (i.e. put my aliases in their), 
yes/no.
