We are trying to consolidate all the user databases we currently have,
which includes NIS, NIS+, RADIUS, and TACACS. It's a pain to maintain
so many databases. We are using TACACS with our Cisco ATM Router for
our DSL customers. RADIUS is for our ISDN and 56K customers.
We would prefer 1 database for authenticating any of the above.
I know LDAP can act as an NIS server, and we are doing that now. I
thought I saw something about RADIUS and LDAP too, but haven't
looked into it yet.
