What you might want to look at is Oracle Internet Directories
http://www.oracle.com/database/oid/index.html
This is an LDAP server built on the Oracle 8i platform. If you want/must use
Oracle as your db backend then this is what I would recommend. Developing,
debugging and optimizing a LDAP server to use a different back-end (in
particular a large RDBMS) is a very large project & one that I would never
recommend to a customer, unless they had an extremely large development
staff (e.g. a General Electric or IBM). Instead I'd work on exporting data
out from an existing db and into a LDAP server.
